HI,   It’s Saturday PM, and now have got the front yard mowed, so have a minute to update the post I call  “Weekly Roundup”  this is for the week ending 6/21 of 2013 to help make sense of what 20130613 means.    LOTS of busy work, the hurry and wait sort, –end whine here.    Here’s some of the week’s highlights I wanted to share.

Joomla 1.5 was released at the start of 2008. After that 3 Joomla major revisions have been released, and many minor updates. Joomla 1.5 is currently obsolete, and is no longer supported by upgrades or patches. Therefore it is not only soft target for malware and hackers but as an out of date platform, no extension for it are being released.

Moving on to new Joomla will provide site with all modern enhancements under the hood, and it will have culmination of all security updates released till now. Site will be able to use all modern Joomla extensions

In short, upgrading will make the site more secure, easier to manage and scalable. These factors will cut expenditure in long run. Not to mention, corporations are upgrading their Joomla sites in volumes, and our upgrade team is engaged all around the month.

OK, I too when I first read this headline @B2Community thought “Oh no, all my dashboards won’t work”   They do work, how do you like the new look?   Can you see it more importantly, are you using Google Webmaster Tools with your efforts in Google Analytics?

Ideas: If you are struggling with getting buy-in, there are two posts I suggest you read: 2 Foolproof Methods for Getting Content Marketing Buy-In and Getting Buy-In for Your Content Marketing: A 3-Point Process. There is some overlap in the ideas, but here are the highlights:

  • Really understand – and be able to articulate – the value of content marketing.

  • Play on fear. What is the competition doing that you are not? What does your management care about most?
